Last week I treated myself to some Barry M products (after finding out that they are cruelty free of course)
I bought the blueberry ice-cream nail paint and the baby pink lip paint.
I was so impressed with the nail paint quality for such an inexpensive price, just 2.95!! I usually buy O.P.I (cruelty free) which is quite a bit more expensive. I am so happy with the result.
I applied it on Friday night to both toes and finger nails and it only just started to chip on the following Thursday on the my finger nails and it is perfect on my toe nails, pretty impressed!!!
SO on to the lip paint, colour baby pink 100, sooooooooooooooooo horrid!!!! I applied it and to my horror it looked so chalky and thick, kinda like ski sunblock make up, lol, not to mention unflattering and unwearable.
It felt so thick on my lips.
I have never ever returned lipstick but I will try to return this, at £4.25 they aren't the cheapest lippy you can buy but it sure looks it. JUST HORRIBLE!!!
Now it could be THIS that colour is nasty and the rest of their lippys are fine and dandy but I will never buy another to try, just don't need the hassle, when there are so many great brands out there that I have never had an issue with.
So after I applied it, about three hours before going out that night, it took me 1 drink of tea and 1 hour to look in the mirror to see that the thick gunky lippy had come half off, so you could see my own lips where I had drank the tea and then this gunk everywhere else, so horrid seen as I was going out for drinks that night, TOTALLY UNWEARABLE!!
I WAS PISSED about it, can you tell, haha!
I really want my moola back as it is unusable but I have to jump though a few hoops first to see if I can which is so lame, not impressed. Firstly with superdrug, btw, not barry m themselves.
This photo is going towards my craft 52, It is creative, right? LAME I know, just not been feeling creative of late, so much is going on, lots good some bad, ya'll know how It is, right?
lemme know your experiences!

I am wearing that exact shade of nail paint at the moment too, I love the colour.... I call it my Cath Kidston blue :)
I am sorry to hear you didnt get on with the lip paint. I find them really good! I have always thought there is a reason they call them lip paints rather than lipstick.... they work real well applied thinly over a primer such as a balm and can be mixed with other colours to create your own, just like a paint! xx
I have an awful lot of their nail polishes and have always been really pleased with the colour and how long they last.
However, like you I once bought a lippy from them (bright pink) and the texture is absolutely horrid. Way too thick, way too matte and it totally dried my lips.
Never again!
Their lip pens are ok though.
Rebecca, I'm so glad that you have had good experiences with the lip paints but I really wanted the shade of lippy that I bought. I didn't want to mix it with anything else and I didn't see anywhere that this what what you are to do with them, so I as a customer was left feeling very dissatisfied indeed.
Hehe, I like what you called it but me being the foodie I am love the ice cream name better, hehe!!
Mademoiselle Robot; I really didn't expect the nail paint to last very long, because of the price tag. I am so impressed with the colour choices that they have too, very vibrant and modern!
Such a shame about the lip paints!!!
I think I'll stick with the nail paints only from barry M! :D
I liked this shade. It looks very decent and unique. I'm so happy that you have had good experiences with the lip paints of this colour. Thanks.
Colour forcasting;, Hi, I didn't have good experiences with the lip paints at all, but the nail paints are great!
I like the shade of nails. By the way you should return lipstick.
