Cookie cutters!

Anyone that knows me or reads this blog will know I do love to bake!
Cookies my most favourite (cupcakes being a joint fave) to bake.
The fun you can have with different cookie cutter shapes, the icing, the flavours, sky's the limit!
Cookie baking is something great for the kids too. I remember many a happy time with my late Nana when I was a child. We baked away together making all sorts, the sound of the kenwood mixer and the wonderful oven smells....good times.

Hobbycraft sells some great cookie cutters....I have been eyeballing them all today. Here are my two faves!

Retro pastry cutters.

These are on my Pinterest for Xmas gifts....so cute..I especially love the retro tin. I can't wait to make vegan bakewell tarts and rhubarb pies!

Look at these teddy bears! I am smitten.
The cute tin comes with a piping bag and a recipe too...I have to have these!
Imagine the sweet gifts you could make for people! Great gift idea too.

Cookies are just full of happy, aren't they?

Check out the full range of cookie cutters and decide which are your favorites! They have some cute kits for kids too, check them out mama bears!

I have to go bake some cookies now :p

Lucy Joy Illustrator!

I was sooo happy to get the "Tea Dance" Calendar designed by Lucy Joy!
I bought it for a mere £3 from Tesco.

What a beautifully illustrated Calendar it is. Every month is full of sweet birds, cupcakes, teacups etc.

When I got home I looked up the illustrator online...wow! Such beautiful work.

Very cute Cupcake decs from a cheap local store!

I plan on putting the tree up in maybe 2 weeks. One of the best deals about Christmas is all the decorations.

My Valentine faves!

Thrifted.

Hi Guys!
One of my all time top fave things to do in life is shop ;D
Not just any old shoppin' though, THRIFTING!
Seriously I love it, having a really good rummage though an icky lookin' thrift shop can sometimes produce the best stuff! Or having a great look through the nicer thrift stores for a cute designer outfit for cheap, what ain't to love!
I also have a real love/hate relationship with ebay, haha!

Now I don't think I could ever be one of those minimalistic types cos I loves ma knick knacks too much :)
I have been known for this since being a wee one, going to car boot sales with my family I picked up awesome bits and bobs (as my family says)
It has always filled me with glee, not just the bargain price but getting vintage things that are usual and rare, you know, just does it for me.
I think maybe I was just ahead of my time because this is now totally the thing to do but I, like many thrifty and individual chicks, we have been doing this for yonks.

Even if I was stinking rich I would love to thrift :)
One mans junk is another's treasure!

Awesome cat planter that I LOVE!

I LOVE this lamp base, so me!
I don't love the shade so much, not sure if I should change it altogether or If I could revamp it a bit.
Any ideas??

My all time fave thing I ever thrifted was awesome, it was a wacom tablet for around £4!!! WHOA!

What was your thrifting gem recently or from forevers ago,
that made your day???

Picture post!

Hi guys!!
I had a lovely day today, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, bliss.

Here is my natural home cleaning products!
From left to right; White vinegar,
surcare (cruelty free) laundry detergent,
Little bottle of orange essential oil,
Granny's soap flakes (cruelty free),
soda crystals,
bicarbonate of soda.

All the above is cruelty free and green too!

I decided to put all of the products into nice jars to make them easy to use and they look nice on display too :)

I'm going to do a vlog on cleaning with natural products sometime this month for you guys!

It was such a sunny day, the pups enjoyed basking in the sunshine :)
They are freshly bathed, don't they look gorgeous!!
Captain Cupcake on the left and Levi sasspirella on the right!

Cute cupcake tins I bought recently for half price in the sale!

The kitchen needed a plant, so I bought this pretty gerbera :)
I don't have a great green finger and things usually die on me, eep, but I am hoping she will fair well.

My pretty tea cups, not everyone's taste but I adore them!
Notice the cupcake tablecloth I got for half price, I do love a bargain!

So very in lub with my new melamine bowls, so vintagey looking! I'm using the smaller one as a fruit bowl and the pink larger one as a nice mixing bowl.

Recent ebay find, vintage little ceramic puppy, had to have him!
I love how innocent and playful he looks, just like a real puppy!

Another ebay find. Kinda strangely beautiful, had to have this, love the pretty colours on this piece so much.

Well, that's it for now, hope you enjoyed looking and comments always appreciated!!

Barry M get my thumbs up on nail polish. also CRAFT 52 week 15

Hi guys!
Last week I treated myself to some Barry M products (after finding out that they are cruelty free of course)
I bought the blueberry ice-cream nail paint and the baby pink lip paint.
I was so impressed with the nail paint quality for such an inexpensive price, just 2.95!! I usually buy O.P.I (cruelty free) which is quite a bit more expensive. I am so happy with the result.
I applied it on Friday night to both toes and finger nails and it only just started to chip on the following Thursday on the my finger nails and it is perfect on my toe nails, pretty impressed!!!

SO on to the lip paint, colour baby pink 100, sooooooooooooooooo horrid!!!! I applied it and to my horror it looked so chalky and thick, kinda like ski sunblock make up, lol, not to mention unflattering and unwearable.
It felt so thick on my lips.
I have never ever returned lipstick but I will try to return this, at £4.25 they aren't the cheapest lippy you can buy but it sure looks it. JUST HORRIBLE!!!
Now it could be THIS that colour is nasty and the rest of their lippys are fine and dandy but I will never buy another to try, just don't need the hassle, when there are so many great brands out there that I have never had an issue with.
So after I applied it, about three hours before going out that night, it took me 1 drink of tea and 1 hour to look in the mirror to see that the thick gunky lippy had come half off, so you could see my own lips where I had drank the tea and then this gunk everywhere else, so horrid seen as I was going out for drinks that night, TOTALLY UNWEARABLE!!

I WAS PISSED about it, can you tell, haha!
I really want my moola back as it is unusable but I have to jump though a few hoops first to see if I can which is so lame, not impressed. Firstly with superdrug, btw, not barry m themselves.

This photo is going towards my craft 52, It is creative, right? LAME I know, just not been feeling creative of late, so much is going on, lots good some bad, ya'll know how It is, right?

lemme know your experiences!

Adorable wooden pastry set!

Isn't this adorable!!
A delicious wooden food toy presented in a shiny pink cardboard box Inside the box are six beautifully made pastries all ready for afternoon tea.Painted in beautiful colours and delicate detail this is a great example of Djeco's attention to detail and quality. Each pastry comes on it's own doily and is separated in the box by a pink divider splitting the box into six. This is a beautiful toy for those afternoon teas and dinner parties when teddies and dollies need some pastries.
I LOVE the packaging so much, so pretty and vintagey looking. I have a real soft spot for wooden toys too.
Sadly at the moment these cuties are all sold out, not surprising though!
They would look super cute displayed in a sweet shabby chic style kitchen:)
