I am so excited!
Ok, so I made the mushie below out of a wee craft pack I already had, I found it after I had a big sort out the other day. It only contains a small amount of roving inside the kit.
Then it occurred to me that it was wool!! Not very vegan friendly, SO I know you can get vegan roving BUT....we have 3 cats and one of them, my little baby bear Oreo is long haired and when he gets groomed loads of his beautiful chocolate brown soft hair gets groomed off. I always hated to throw it away and would often say, oh if only I could do something with this!!!
THEN I SAW THIS BOOK!!!!
OH MY!!!
I HAVE to get this book :)
Does anyone have it, do you like it?
Has anyone tried to needle felt using their pet hair??

I have seen a review (many) of this book. It uses cat hair and templates of cats to do multiple cat hair projects. Make sure your cat has long enough hair. I would use it more for guidance than for the projects but there are some I am eyeing. I have a persianesque kitty my mother collects the hair from in which I could spin up the hair. Anyways, if you have a shedding kitty and want to make projects from their hair I would say its a wonderful book!
Thanks for your comment Kelly!! This is a totally new concept for me and I am very excited about it :)
I think that I will have to check out that book,I have a cat that would love it. lol.
Also I have been following your blog for some time and love all the cute things that you have been making. I actually posted a link to your blog on mine, I hope you don't mind. If you are uncomfortable with it, I will remove it, but I wanted to share your awesomeness.
happy blogging!
Nosnin!
That is so kind of you thank you!! If you would like to take a cute button link to use there are 4 on the right hand side of my blog :)
Thank you so much for following my little blog and coming to say hi , love to "meet" new peeps :)
I used to roll my cats' fur into beads (just circular felt balls) and then one time I saw one of them get up onto the mantle and eat one out of the little basket that I had stored them in.
After that I have started composting their fur! (I have three, and it is everywhere!) But maybe I should experiment with non-bead shaped felt!

Same here, haha, we have three cats and two little dogs and it is a daily struggle to dehair the house and groom them, LOL. Worth it but hard work.
Yes please do experiment and I will too and please drop me a line with a photo of what you make :)
I just giggled out loud when I scrolled down on this blog post...I was not expecting at all that there would be a book on crafting with cat hair!! How fun! Not that I have a cat but I like the recycling theme going on :)
